Safety When Working on a Fragile Roof

When it’s necessary to carry out work on a fragile roof your first priority should be your own safety and the safety of your staff.

If you can avoid working on the roof directly, this is the best option. For example work could be carried out from a MEWP (Mobile Elevated Work Platform).

When working on any roof a risk assessment must be carried out and the use of Safety Nets or other Collective measures may be required.

Where accessing fragile roof surfaces is unavoidable you should consider using the Board Walk System, as photographed above.
